Orbitz Worldwide announced it has reached an agreement with Jet Blue Airways to distribute its airfares, effective immediately, through its Orbitz, CheapTickets and Orbitz for Business brands. Airfare will be made fully available for air-only retail bookings and customised travel packages (flight + hotel).
"By entering Orbitz Worldwide, one of the fastest growing online travel agencies in the United States, we continue to simplify the travel experience from start to finish. This partnership will introduce new customers to the low-fares and high-frills of the Jet Blue Experience," said Brett Cochran, Manager, Distribution and Sales Development for Jet Blue Airways.
Jet Blue provides nonstop service to 53 cities across the US and Caribbean/Atlantic.

Jet Blue Airways announced plans to commence daily New York-Puerto Plata and New York-St Maartan services, from 10-Jan-08 and 17-Jan-08, respectively. Over the Northern Winter, Jet Blue will offer as many as 220 weekly roundtrips between the US mainland and 11 destinations across the Caribbean/Atlantic region.

(CAPA FREE) Jet Blue Airways announced plans to launch a new daily service between Orlando and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, beginning 06-Mar-08. Jet Blue first introduced service to Orlando in Jun-00 and has grown to become the fifth largest carrier at the airport in terms of passenger traffic. This Winter, Jet Blue will offer up to 44 daily services between Orlando and 15 destinations across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Jet Blue names Ed Barnes Interim Chief Financial Officer

(CAPA) Jet Blue Airways announced an expanded remote check-in service now available to customers onboard cruise ships. The cruise ship remote check-in programme complements the service currently offered by the LCC at select hotels, convention centres, on-airport and off-airport parking areas, and rental car facilities in several cities across the nation and in the Caribbean.
Jet Blue remote check-in allows travellers to check in, get boarding passes and drop checked baggage at off-airport locations hours before their flight. The checked baggage is transported to the airport, screened and loaded on their flight, allowing customers to proceed directly to security and their gate when arriving at their departure airport. Jet Blue first offered remote check-in service to Orlando customers in Jul-05, and since then has grown its partnership with Bags Inc, a dedicated airline service provider, to offer the programme at a growing number of the airline's destinations.
Remote check-in is currently available at select properties in Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Phoenix, San Diego, San Juan, San Francisco, Seattle and Tampa.
