Murcia Airport is Operated by the Spanish Airport Authority

Accommodating passenger jets the likes of Boeing 757's or 767's, the Spanish air force sits beside the civilian airport, the Murcia airport is operated by the Spanish airport authority at the city of Murica. The airport, located in San Javier, seventeen miles south of Murcia, has expanded during the past ten years to serve the increased tourist traffic.

It has grown from a small operation to a terminal, managing local and international flights. Since the airport has grown, visitors have learned that landing at Murcia offers a more direct route to the southern areas of the Costa Blanca, than does landing at the Alicante airport.

Flights into Murica Airport
A variety of regular, charter groups, and discount airlines, fly into Murcia. Most vacationers visit the southern areas, which is the Costa Blanca. This area includes Torrevieja.
